Started new job totally new career (office based) few weeks back I absolutely hate it I applied and accepted one position fast forward to start date completely new role as that where they needed staff.
Given it a go still hate it not one thing I enjoy starting feel really down so today I quit I emailed my manger said that I won't be back thank you opportunity etc etc .
Now I do have my old job bank shift fall back on until I find another permanent job which I do enjoy just takes a pay cut .
This being said I do get more family time I can do more school pick up drop offs etc and be happy .
Please tell me it will be ok I am dreading the email back tomorrow and so nervous that it hasn't worked out and that they will be constantly phoning me .

Did your job reply?

If you’re happy with what you’ve done and the way you’ve done it,was there no notice period? I’d have spoken to manager on person but that’s me and them I’d have walked away. An email is harsh

@YawnAndTheyWillYawnToo

They replied and said thank you for letting them know and wish me all the best.
Glad that the dread of waiting for a reply is over.

I turned down a job i had accepted once before i started...i dreaded the response but it was professioal.. thus is where email is your friend. We spend a long time at work. Too long to be miserable.

Thank you, I'm so glad the stress is over with the thought of being there another day was making me feel ill 😩. Think it's best I stick to what I know I'm future.
