Boss sharing my job application/cv with others

Not sure if I am being oversensitive here as it's been a bit of a week.

I have been acting up informally in CS job for last 8 months (existing manager being managed out due to poor performance) . I have been marked as exceeding on all areas in my end of year review. Job advertised internally, I applied and didn't get it. Obviously very upset as I am doing the role. When my boss was telling me I hadn't got it she said that she had shared my application and cv with other Directors for other jobs she thinks I will be good at (and at the higher grade). I don't know the directors and I don't know what the jobs are. I am now feeling a bit annoyed she did this without asking me. I was so shocked I hadn't got the job that I didn't pick her up on the sharing my cv thing. I feel really uncomfortable that she did this but I need a sense check as I'm feeling quite pissed off about the whole situation. Thoughts welcome.

@chirpychirpycheap

This is a GDPR breach. We would not share a cv - even a redacted one without gaining the owner's permission - although she is coming from a good place, she should know better,
The GDPR breach office must need about a thousand staff members to deal with all the reports that mumsnetters must take on a daily basis. It's an obsession on here it seems

OP you could take it as the compliment it appears to have been meant as or report it as illegal (does that mean to the police?) And pursue it through whatever the process is.

Your choice I guess

@chirpychirpycheap

And bosses don't automatically get access to personal info - just because they are bosses.
What are you referring to? There is nothing on an employees CV that I wouldn’t know as a boss.

I think is great! And she wants you promoted. Shedoes not want you to go because you did not get this job, so is pitching you for other promotions.
Best luck!
