Sharing out overtime

Kids’ leisure activity.
Person A works 5 sessions a week, fixed.

Person B works 1-2 sessions a week depending on their availability and the employer’s need.

Person B thinks all overtime opportunities should be divided equally, including quite large extras like trips and residentials which pay well.

Contracts not clear on the matter - it just says overtime will be offered from time to time.

Those in charge of staffing would rather have Person A for extras as they are much better at the job, much more of a team player, get on very well with everyone, great relationship with parents, kids respect her etc. Person B is less in all respects.

What’s fair? Any suggestions?

@Scooby5kids - she isn't obviously rude though. She's meek and quiet and very caring towards the children (not good at crowd control though which is why I wouldn't want her to be in charge in any more risky situations, like out on a trip, for example). She has some strange ways and opinions. Doesn't like being asked to do something a different way. Plays the victim but is also quite manipulative (I've now seen!) Questions my authority on decisions regarding safeguarding and H&S. But then will tell me I'm doing something negligent and she's not happy with that. To be honest, she's a strange woman but I haven't liked to say that because I like to take everyone as they are and not judge. However ....
