Can’t tell her to naff off…

A few years ago the last team I worked with there was a woman whom I’d never got on with. Fast forward and she’s now one of the Managers. My current job I occasionally have to email her with a report and include the date of the the next meeting. Except…I put slightly the wrong date. She’s replied telling me that the date is incorrect and is in fact..blah blah.

Totally my error, how should I word the email? The thought of replying to her makes me feel queasy as I did struggle with her low level bullying.

forget the past bullying and reply normally.

I wouldn't reply at all. I'd send out the document with amended date saying 'please note the date has been amended and thanks to X for noting this'.

Pick your battles - this shouldn't be one of them. You don't want to look like you're being difficult over small things. Hunderland's suggestion is a good one.

I would just send out the report again with a simple note mentioning the modified date - no need to say who noticed it.

Yes I agree I do need to pick my battles and I don’t want to come across as awkward. I’ve resent the report with a simple note.
Thanks for your replies.

Why would you even want to tell her to naff off? Confused. Perfectly reasonable for somebody to correct the date of a meeting. A suitable response would be something like “Noted thank you” or “Yes, my apologies”.

It can't be slightly the wrong date, it's either the correct date or the incorrect date. It's a minor issue which your manager picked up on, as they should have.

Your reply should say, "sorry, thank-you for picking that up."
