Leaving past employer bad reviews

Nippip · 30/11/2021 19:30

I was so incredibly mistreated in my last role and to top it off because i have made a claim with the tribunal which my employer was notified of, they have now not paid my final wages.

I now will have to wait until the date of the tribunal to claim this back, whilst in the mean time my bills are due.

I am furious and want to leave a bad review outlining what they are like and why they should be avoided.

Will this backfire on me, if so how? What action could he take, if what i have said is all true.

Step away take a breath it will all end badly go through the official process. It’s not worth it

Glassdoor is anonymous and if you're telling the truth I'd go for it. Might put them off behaving that way in the future.

There's two sides to every story. Rise above it and don't be vindictive ( even if you feel they have been).
Leave it for the courts to decide. When I was party to a tribunal process, the employer's lawyers had a very good case based on the employee not being the most exemplary employee. ( the employee had been criticising the business on social media) and the employers ultimately won.

As Level75 said Glassdoor is anonymous, although if it’s a small company it may be easy to identify you, especially if you put details. You need to think if you’re happy for that to happen. There are a lot of reviews on there from bitter former employees though, I’m not sure it would change anything apart from giving you a place to rant.

Nippip · 30/11/2021 21:45

@courtshoe Thank you for this, i don't want to hurt my case so i will rise above.

I have calmed down now.

I really sometimes just hate the "justice" system if you can call it that, their wrongdoings are so much worse than the punishment they will get for it, thats if i win. It just seems that bad people can do what they want and good people have to go by the book and take it.

Whole glass door in anonymous, its not that hard to work out who they are. And I work at a fairly sizable company.

If you know enough about what happened, it's quite easy. Personally, I would hold off until the tribunal.

Write the review down on paper, exactly as you’d want to put it on Glassdoor, and then tuck it away somewhere. It’s cathartic to get it all down, but I echo PPs in saying it’s not worth actually publishing it. Way more potential downside than anything “positive” coming from it.
