Notice for new agency work shifts (schools).

I've done agency work before as a TA but mainly long term positions.
I started with a new company a few weeks ago and a week in I caught Covid. Obviously I had to isolate but since then they keep changing shifts at the last minute.
I have 3 kids who I get ready for school in the morning before I go to work so as you can imagine, I need some kind of idea what I'm doing.
Last week, I was told I'd be in the same school for three days but an hour before the shift on the second day, they changed schools and then again the day after. I've not heard yet about next week so can't plan anything.
I also work from home so I did say to them I need 24 hours notice so that I can juggle my other work.
I am just wondering if I'm not being flexible enough or if they should be giving me more notice.

TIA

Schools will often not know what cover they need until 7.30am on the day which is why this is happening. Staff call in sick in the morning. Cover is arranged usually on a daily basis which is why you won’t get 24 hours notice unless somebody is off long term such as covid isolation . You could say it doesn’t work for you and you are only interested in longer term placements or minimum of 3 days. This may result in you having less work offered to you. It depends what suits.
