I have been invited to speak at 2 work conferences in Europe Oct 2021 (Spain and Portugal). Both just 1 or 2 nights trip. I am fully vaccinated but both need pre-trip Covid test plus 2 more tests (before return and after return). Have experience w this as we had a summer European holiday and doing all the PCR tests was definitely a hassle ( but totally worth it). I could do both talks remotely but would obviously miss out on networking etc. Pre Covid overseas conferences were one of the highlights of my job, great way to exchange ideas, learn, brainstorm, form collegiate friendships........but I am not sure if it is worth it now. One last factor to consider- DC at primary and secondary schools and cases already popping up at school. What would you do? Go or do it remotely?
