Should I leave my job before new bitch gets me sacked?

Hi, I work in a home for people with learning disabilities It opened 5 months ago and I was there from the start. I do two night shifts a week and I used to enjoy it, but recently a new woman has come on to nights who I thought was quite nice at first but on my first ever shift with her she slept for a couple of hours, which I was fine with as every one does from time to time, as long as the other person is fully awake. We only have two residents at the moment, both with baby monitors in their rooms. So the next night I worked with her I was realy struggling to stay awake, I was sat up in the chair but kept nodding off certainly not sleeping.
Anyway I was called in to the office the next day because thered been a report that I'd slept for 5 hours!! I told her that I was nodding off but didn't sleep and I think she believed me, but it will still be on my record. I can't face working with her again and I don't know wether to look for another job before she tells more lies and gets me sacked. Her best friend works there as well and she is a cow to me so they could quite easily back each other up. I now feel sick at the thought of going to work and seing one of them. I don't know what I should do.Any advice?

Can you speak to whoever does the rotas? Arrange your shifts so you are not on together as much as possible. That would be the first thing. if you do have to work with her, wake her up every time she dozes off. Do not allow her to sleep.

Yes I'll do that, I'm trying to swop shifts at the moment so I don't have to work with her. I wouldn't let her sleep again anyway, I wish I'd taken a photo of her sleeping now but my camera is too dam noisy and I don't have a posh phone to do it. I'd love to get her sacked! nasty people like that should not be working with people with special kneeds.
