Would you email a company to see what is happening with your applicaton?

Hiya,
First of all, it is for a voluntary position.
I know my referees were approached (and references were sent back), and that the company said it was urgent!

Haven't heard anything, been about three weeks now.

Would you send an email just to see if everything is ok?

I think that would be fine. You could write re stating your interest and asking if they could give you some feedback on how you performed at interview (if you had one) .

Thanks for that WWW. I've been out of work (I'm self employed so no company as such!), I didn't know the best thing to do!
