I'm looking to start working as a teacher or support stuff and am in correspondence with a recruitment agency. I'm looking for part time or supply work. They've asked me to pay £40 for an enhance DBS check. Does anybody have experience with this and did you pay for this? Do employers not pat for this?

As a childcare worker I have always paid for mine, often around £53, so £40 is good.

Usually you. I was long term with an agency and because I was so regular they paid for a DBS (needed to include adults) for me.
