spending £40+ a week on transport- good idea?

ok have not been offered the job yet, (and probly won't be offered it and it is my dream job, really, but out of a £15k salary, i'd be spending forty quid a week on travel... does this sound like a lot. i've never commuted before so am unsure (used to buying a tenner buspass every week!) in all other respects it is great, flexible hours etc. anyone help?

Work out how much you would spend a year and deduct from your salary.

Depends if you can manage on the remainder of your salary.

we could, just about, but it would be working for the sake of working (for at least the first year i'd be there). im just torn between a job i'd really love, but have to spend lots on, to a job i could earn plenty, but be bored as arse
