Research and learn the trust values

Learn the job description off by heart

They will ask you about how you handle certain situations (irate patients, confidentiality, safeguarding, disagreement with colleague) make sure you have answers prepared

They will ask you your strengths and weaknesses

I was quite a few years ago, hopefully it's a bit more rigorous now, I was barely asked any questions in the interview, the guy did most of the talking.

Two weeks training on making beds, taking observations, manual handling and we're sent off to the wards. Half a day shadowing someone then let loose.

I really hope it's not like this now. It's such a difficult job, obviously depending where you are placed.

If they ask you a patient based scenario question always put the patient first

Thankyou so much everyone! I'll keep all that in mind!
