A year of mat leave from 1st July

When would you expect to go back?

If 1st July 2020 was day 1, I expect 30th June 2021 to be the last day of mat leave, and the 1st July 2021 to be day one back. Work are saying day one back is 30th June is the day I am expected back.

Am I stuck in sleep deprivation and being dense?

I'd expect that too.

You are correct.

I just checked my dates from 2019-2020. I went off 12th August 2019 returned 11th August 2020.
So seems like that's the same as your company is proposing

Maternity leave is 52 weeks and the week starts on the Sunday.

Depending on when you go that might mean it isn't the same calendar day you expect

Yep

@Twizbe and @4amWitchingHour ah that makes sense, thank you! Work didn't explain it, they just have me the date and said that's what it is when I queried.

Its 52 weeks. So (52x7) days from day one.

Dont forget you will accrue annual leave and bank holiday entitlement so can add that on the end.
