health care assistant band 3 ,does anyone know the hourly rate of pay?

I have an interview next week.
The job description says salary £14,037-£16,700.

The job is part-time 20hrs a week.

Is this the salary for a full time post or the 20hr/week?

I really want to knwo so I can decide about childcare.

If its the full time salary (which is likely), it will say pro rata after it. That'll be for 37.5 hours so 20 hours = £7486.40 - £8906.66. That's gross salary. So divide by 52 then multiply by 12 to get monthly amount then minus tax, NI and pension, plus any tax credits / benefits. HTH

It doesn't say pro-rata after it,but the salary seems quite high

roughly - before deductions. Remember you get lots of leave - equivalent of 5 weeks plus bank holidays, busy bee childcare vouchers......

Busy Bee vouchers are vouchers for ofsted registered childcare that you pay for, but are tax and NI free.

So they take out £178 of my salary and give me a voucher that I can give to any ofsted registered childcare of my choice, and its actually worth £243.

I think it's a NVQ2...

That Band 3 salary is DEFINITELY pro-rata (I also work in the nhs p/t).

It is most likely that you will be started at the bottom of the payscale and you will be 'awarded' yearly increments which will take your salary up to the upper levels of the band after a number of years

In my Trust, HCA's are Band 2.
