Leaving nhs job for private school job

Hi,
I currently work full-time over 4 days in the nhs as a band 7. Im feeling burn out ++ and have interviewed for a nurse job in a private school waiting the outcome now. But would i be absolutely ridiculous to leave the safety of Nhs if i was offered it. Im worried about the safety net of sickness and pension. I would stay on the bank and do odd shifts. Wondering if the benefit of being term time only, slower pace, no management responsibility and lower risk is enough to make up for what i would loose leaving secure employment and continous nhs service.

It depends what’s more important to you really, but there are a few things I would mention.

Firstly, no job is 100% secure now really. You are still working in nursing and can always go back to the NHS at a later date if you feel able - you’re not shutting the door on it forever. If you’re feeling burned out and can’t make any changes to protect your health and well-being in your current role then it makes sense to take some time out and work somewhere with less pressure. Good luck x
