today my son commented on how i get on really great with old people. i have actually thought the same myself before.

it came to me that maybe a job working with old people would be the thing for me ( have never found the right job)

but, i would not like wiping bums or sick or things like that.

do you think therefore it's a no-no or is there something i could do?

Is there a skill that you have that you could give classes in? Like pottery or jewelery making or basic computing?

My mum works as a nurses aid in a retirement home. She does nights and does have to clean up a lot of poo and sick but the money's very good.

Your local cvs (community voluntary service) would have lots of info about different opportunities as so many charities support older people - you could start off volunteering to see if you liked it as a longer term career etc.

Lots of homes have activities such as keep fit/yoga etc, as well as befriending, memory sessions etc.
