Hi all,
I'm hoping someone here can help or point me in the right direction
I'm in the process of starting a health smoothie business from home. Its something ive always wanted to do ever since i left full time work after ML was born.
The concept is a fruit/veg smoothie (with dairy and non dairy options). I've got council approval, and at the moment selling to just a few local friends/neighbours.
But i would like to know how to go about properly calculatiing a shelf life for each drink. At the moment I'm saying consume on the day of purchase, but i don't think that viable in the long term when i expand.
From my experience the drinks last around 72 hours if kept in fridge, but i would need to verify this scientifically before I make the claim I would think .
Can anyone who has a home food food business (baking, juices, takeways) shed some light?
TIA
