I’m I right to feel a little miffed?

I think I may be petty but I need to get this off my chest and kick myself up to bum to let this go.

I have been on a course for work and put a lot of effort and hard work in to it. There were 3 of us doing the same modules together. Part of the evaluation was real live cases. I have since found out from one of the others doing the course with me that her manager was worried she would be able to compete her test work on time so she was giving handpicked easy case whilst the rest of us had randomly generated work to complete. I don’t know if I’m being over sensitive here but I’m actually feeling a little miffed about this. Just to be clear, it was the person who got the easier work who approached me and told me not hearsay. I need to find a way to let this go. What would you do please? Thanks

Her qualification was given to her. You worked hard for yours. Know that and be happy 🙂 before you die you'll come across many people who were given something you had to work for. You need to just let it go.

What did you do to celebrate your achievement?

Absolutely nothing but will go out for a meal after lockdown. Does feel like the shine is taken off my achievements though. I know My feelings are probably a tad unreasonable and I’m sure I’ll live. Just can’t help it right now.

Your achievement is shinier than hers though! You know you can deal with whatever is thrown at you at work - in the real world - but your co-worker doesn't have that confidence in her abilities. Let it go.

Thank you all. Very kind. Was expecting to be told to grow up!

I'd be a bit upset if my manager gave me the easy case because they thought I couldn't cope. Be proud that no one took pity on you! Well done - people have faith in you and you passed - your future looks good!

It’s crap but you earned your qualification and know you can do the work.
