Feel I need to leave my job.

I started working in a local cafe about 3 months ago, I absolutely love it there. They have been great to me and I just love the job. But they have never worn masks and it's really starting to upset me. Am I wrong with saying that I thought everywhere had to wear masks now? Or am I missing something. There is no social distancing, no masks, people walking and touching eachother etc. I feel sick going into work worried about catching something. I'm so gutted. I feel like I need to leave the job due to this and I'm just so upset about it. Is any one else in this situation? :(

Face coverings

The government has published guidance for businesses on wearing face coverings

From 24 September, it is compulsory in England for retail, leisure and hospitality staff to wear a face covering in areas that are open to the public and where they come, or are likely to come, within close contact of a member of the public. This includes shops, supermarkets, bars, pubs, restaurants, cafes, and the public areas of hotels and hostels

The additional link says:

Staff in indoor settings
Face coverings must be worn by retail, leisure and hospitality staff working in areas that are open to the public and where they’re likely to come into contact with a member of the public. This includes:

shops
supermarkets
bars
pubs
restaurants
cafes

Not sure how they can be unaware of these compulsory rules. Have you mentioned it to the owner/manager? Apologies if you aren’t in England.
