We interviewed a working mum for a job who had "playing hockey" on her cv as an interest. I have to say I thought this was fantastic thing to put - it looks like she has loads of energy (unlike every other working mum in the country) - mixed sex sport, networking possibilities (she named the club she plays for)

As an interviewer, I'm never impressed by hobbies like "going to the cinema" or "reading books" unless you can demonstrate a passion for them when asked about it. It is sometimes handy though, to ask about what people do outside work, when you're trying to gauge whether they would be able to chat nicely to clients over a lunch

put them if they will help you get the job eg you applying to be a teacher and you like music/acting or whatever!

if you do charity work o rhave organised a big school event, im sure that is always worth putting down somehow under 'interests' rather than 'hobbies'

im struggling for examples but you get my drift!

im afraid most of my clients are unconscious
