End of maternity leave/Furlough

Hi mums

I need some help in understanding what my employer can claim under the Furlough Retention Scheme for someone who’s returning from maternity leave.

My return date was on April 1st 2020 but I was instead put on furlough due to COVID-19 (hence I never returned to work, I went straight from maternity leave to furlough). I was a full-time employee but was going to go back part-time.

Will my furlough pay be calculated on what my salary was on the 28th of February or will it be calculated based on my planned part-time hours (a future salary)? The guidance on this isn’t very clear on Gov.uk so I’m wondering if anyone else is facing the same and is able to answer the above or pass on any advice.

Thanks 🙏🏼

It is 80% of what you would have been paid when you came back from Maternity leave I believe
