how much per hr would a teaching assistnat get?

If you have less than 5 GCSEs and don't have any other level 2 qualifications you can do an NVQ Teaching Assistants course free through Train to Gain. And even if you don't qualify our college are offering the course for £180 so it's cheaper than the Btec.

I get £700 gross for 25 hours a week and 4 years experience. Going up (probably by about 20p an hour) when I get my NVQ level3.

At the moment, I'm thinking 'well at least its somethign to put on my CV'...

i am a learning support assistant (work with the special needs children) and i get £5,800 gross for a 22 hour week.

The pay is awful but the job is very rewarding.
