Back to work - part time or full time?

I'm trying to decide whether I should go back to work full-time or part-time. Financially, there isn't too much different between the two (with childcare costs) and my work place is supportive, so really it's just my preference.

My partner is a teacher and there isn't much scope for him to go part-time, but he will obviously be looking after the baby during school holidays.

I really like my job and hope to progress, but will I regret working full time? Will the baby miss a parent being there? I feel that working part-time I will still have the same volume of work, but less time to do it in!

It can be best of both worlds but also can be worst of both worlds Depends on lots of Factors
Best advice I got was don't do 4 days
I went PT and overall it did work out
I had a professional role
Did have to do some work on days off but that reflected the situation when full time ,it was not a 9 to 5 gig
Probably lost a bit of ground but nothing lasts forever The DC s grow up and if you have kept working you can step up (if you want to)
I did and am probably where I would have been
I didn't want the DC in full time childcare and I didn't want to give up my career
But others have different opinions

I’ve enjoyed doing p/t, three days.

My little one has been very ill at times though - having the extra days each week has made it easier to cover that and all the medical appointments he’s had - sometimes there can be several a month.

But it’s also nice having the spare weekdays to do a couple of classes with him or meet up with friends. It’s especially nice in the summer when we can go to the park or do other things outside together.
