No I haven't handed my notice in (yet) but have emailed my MD to tell him my feelings regarding the office and where I stand within the firm as I don't feel I I am getting the respect I feel I should get!
I bricking it now as I find it really difficult to talk to him and the female director who I would talk to is on annual leave!
Oh well will have to see what happens when I go in to work tomorrow

You have done the right thing, you are doing something about your situation, which always make you feel much better and more empowered, rather than sitting there hoping someone else will deal with it.

Definitely the right thing, it eats away at you if you leave it and it never goes away (as we also wish and hope it would!).

Be positive, stick to the facts, don't involve emotions (that bits hard), keep your cards close to your chest, record details of everything and stick to your guns.

Well he has read the email and we've spoken briefly and will hopefully have a meeting later to discuss things.

Be patient. Log everything in detail - many things they screw up can be used against them in the future.

whoops why are you not going to get to speak to him? Has he got a secretary or anything? See if you can get something firm put in his diary, take the initiative rather than stewing or sitting there waiting for him to speak to you. Yes he should do that, and it's rubbish if he doesn't, but ultimately you want to speak to him, so if you have to book the meeting yourself, you will a) achieve that and b) will feel like you are doing something, and the importance of that cannot be underestimated in terms of your emotional state and ability to cope with a difficult situation.

Unless you have actual reason to believe your emails are being read by someone, don't dwell on that, there is a tendency in these situations to assume that everything is suspicious and negative. It may well be the case, but keep a note of everything that happens and look for patterns, be careful not to see everything as negative just because of the bad situation you are in, as that will make you feel worse. And as an aside, it's always a good idea to assume email is not private anyway.

Flowery - My inbox is set out so that emails automatically come into a central box then divert to different folders and one day this had already happen before I had gone in so I know someone has been looking at them.
I am (supposed to be) seeing the MD at 1.30 so am now writing everything I want to go through with him down so that I won't forget!

Hi whoops, just catching up have been away all week, how did it go?

I had a chat and he knows there is a personality thing going on and can't understand it
I didn't get the job I Had the interview and have decided to stop looking for something else and stick with things and see how things are after Christmas.
They are thinking about taking on one of the temps we have with us at the moment but I have a funny feeling about her and think the other temp we have gives off better feeling!
The other Director is back on Tuesday & I'll prob have a chat with her about things and the MD said we would all sit down together in a couple of weeks to see how things are.

Sounds a bit more positive if you've had a chat with the MD and the plan is to try and sit down in a couple of weeks. Stay calm and 'above it all' during that time, keep thinking positive if you can, and fingers crossed this has a good result.
