Changing from salaried to hourly paid

My employer has announced this week that my role will be changing from salaried to hourly pay. There was no discussion around this and this has come as a surprise, I don't want to be paid hourly. Is there anything I can do or do I have to accept it and move on?

Will you be better or worse off on your current hours? Has the working pattern changed significantly? Are there lots of you or small company?

ACAS is your best initial call.

Working pattern isn't changing and its a large corporation.
I was hourly paid in previous job and my salary changed every month (ie much lower in February) which was difficult to plan ahead. Message is that I will be entitled to overtime but I don't/will not do overtime so this doesn't apply.
Will ring ACAS thank you

It's so hard to plan around, isn't it? Have they given you a calculation if hourly rate? Will your other benefits continue? (Holiday pay? How will that work?)

Benefits will continue but no idea on hourly rate and holidays either so those are good questions I need to raise, thank you.
