Hours to work to qualify for best tax credits.

does anyone know what the minimum no of hours to work is to qualify for the best tax credits.

i'm returning to work in august and have calculated that i will be working 14.9 hours, if i increased this would i qualify for any higher tax credits?

Not sure what you mean by 'best tax credits', but if you are a single parent and only working 14.9 hours then you will only be entitled to CTC and not any WTC, plus no help with childcare costs.

To get WTC you need to work a minimum of 16 hours a week.

does the same apply if i'm not a single parent?
