Ironing. People can drop you off their loads in baskets, you do it by charging per basket, then they pick it up.

PestoMonster · 11/07/2007 13:34

Maybe you could do childminding?

TheWiltedRose · 11/07/2007 13:58

Avon: there's no investment upfront (they take all of £7.50 off your first two orders to cover registration costs) and it is helpful as you collect the money then don't have to pay it to Avon for 2 weeks. Tho you do have to make sure you make the money up on time or you don't get your next orders sent out. Also there is mystery shopping though that does cost a few quid here and there some of the time (i e you have to buy something in a shop and then claim the money bakc). Basically the only way to survive is to do a load of different little things so they all add up.

baking cakes for a local coffee shop?
If you can bake??!

Dog walking?
BAbysitting? (although probably won't be at your home then!)
Typing/admin?

Bouquetsofdynomite · 11/07/2007 22:16

I'm just about to start being a virtual admin assistant from home, just got to get out there and find some clients of course. Planning to take flyers round any local office blocks, I think self-employed people like IFAs are the way to go but will hit the local university too. I aim to work on a retainer basis so I can farm DS out during school hours eg 10hrs a week at £10hr - cheaper for them than hiring a temp who takes up office space isn't it?
