How to get previous job back after Baby?

Before falling pregnant I had my Dream Job, Baby was a Surprise as I had just accepted a Promotion. The Company were supportive enough, there was no pressure for a return date just to keep in touch during Maternity leave. I Had a rocky first year with DC so decided it wasn't suitable to return to that position, handed in my notice on good terms and took a part time role elsewhere.
DC is now in Nursery and I feel ready to take on a more challenging role, I would love to return to my pre- pregnancy company but not sure how to initiate contact. I have my previous Manager on Linkdin whom has viewed my profile over the past Week.
Any tips on how to initiate conversation with Her?

I'd just ask to be honest, something along the lines of you're looking for a similar role as the one you had and could she give you a shout if any suitable positions come up.

I would ask too. It may not be the dream role yet but you could also get back in the company and if you are known to be someone seeking a promotion she will remember you when the time comes.

I returned to a lesser role after a maternity leave but got promoted back after a year when another position at my previous level became available. The manager knew I would be keen and asked me when the person handed in notice.

I agree. Probably better to do it without capitalising random words though to maximise chance of a positive response.

Unfortunately I think having Baby and then Leaving after being offered a Promotion may have been your Downfall.
