I get 4 weeks plus bank hols.

Used to get 25 days plus bank hols. We were also closed the week between Xmas and new year....

How much do you get where you work?

7 weeks. I work at IKEA.

MrsMoastyToasty · 15/11/2018 19:51

30 days (I have been there a long long long time). DH gets 5 weeks + additional days depending on how many bank holidays there are in the year in question . He works for a 24/7/365 industry.

CherryPavlova · 15/11/2018 19:54

37 days plus bank holidays. I rarely use them all so inevitably have 42 days plus bank holidays which I still can’t use so I do buy back as well.

LightastheBreeze · 15/11/2018 20:03

25 + 8 bank holidays + 4 for Christmas closedown pro rata as I work part time. I can also buy up to 5 pro rata with salary sacrifice

WhatwouldRuthdo · 15/11/2018 20:05

35 days plus bank holidays and Christmas closure. Until my eldest went to school it was really hard to use it all. Now it comes in very useful.

Sakura7 · 15/11/2018 20:06

A lot of people seems to be given the Christmas holidays as extra days. I have to take from (already very stingy) annual leave :(

ISeeTheLight · 15/11/2018 20:07

Unlimited. Private sector, martech company. It used to be 25 + your birthday off (and bank holidays), but they changed it this year. Now you still have your 25 days plus whatever you need on top of that - just put it in the calendar and it gets approved. I'm already at 35 days for this year because we moved in May (april-march holiday year). I've not noticed anyone being annoyed about it, which I was worried about. Less gimmick than I thought it would be.
They do ask you not to amend your usual working pattern with it though (eg taking all Fridays off).

13 weeks ;)

DH has 30 days plus BH. The office is also closed on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. Depending on Christmas Day timing it is sometimes closed during the few days between Christmas Day and NYD too. They don't have to use holidays for these.

MillieMoodle · 15/11/2018 20:31

27 days plus bank hols, 1/2 day on my birthday and 3 days at Xmas shutdown, although they've given us Christmas Eve as well this year. Pretty happy with that!

alltoomuchrightnow · 21/11/2018 14:08

5 weeks, which I think is v generous for a part timer
No bank holidays, they have to be booked off as annual leave (company doesn't shut for Boxing Day for eg)

ClaudiaWankleman · 21/11/2018 14:21

35 days plus bank holidays plus my birthday. I have to use 3 between Christmas and NYE. I also got an additional 2 days holiday this year due to performance.

notacooldad · 21/11/2018 14:27

30 days plus bank holidays.
We are on a good rota where we can end up with a week off by either the way the rota has been made up or by doing a shift swop.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 21/11/2018 14:33

29 days plus bank holidays. That's because I've worked here for more than 5 years though - until last year it was 23.

This year we are closing between Christmas and New year but rather than taking it out of our leave allowance we are not being paid for it. Angry

Violetroselily · 21/11/2018 16:35

25 plus bank holidays and the option to buy or sell 5

Oblomov18 · 21/11/2018 16:51

5 weeks plus BH's.

Nurse12345 · 22/11/2018 07:37

pro rata 33 days plus 8 bank hols
also bought 6 weeks extra annual leave.
Works out as 14 weeks off altogether
