I have a job interview coming up and I have it on good authority that they will ask me for an example of a time I had to forsake accuracy for speed. I have no idea what to say?!! It’s an admin job. I don’t want to say I created a document with mistakes. I think I’m pretty accurate even when working at speed! Any ideas ?? 💡

Could you turn it around and say that you think that accuracy is vital, so you believe that successful administration is about building systems into your work that save time and allow you to produce consistently accurate, high quality work. Then you could go on to give examples of how you would use databases, templates, etc., to ensure that your work was efficient and accurate.

Taking minutes - you don’t need to take down every single word. You need to quickly and clearly communicate the tone and content of the discussion in your notes and adequately convey it in the circulated minutes.
