Hi. Left a temporary job that was lovely but ending. Got a new permanent job but its awful. Group of factory managers whose mistakes are excused but I'm responsible for sorting. Could wait it out but thinking it might be worth leaving now with one weeks notice as in 3 weeks time I'll have to work 3 months notice! Anyone else got 3 months notice period in their contract of employment? Scares me - stuck with very changeable boss. People leave regularly & my boss "jokes". God job I like ya else I'd sack ya. What the heck? I think there is a chance of being sacked if the mood takes them confused. People have been sacked - then they all have a good laugh about it with HR. It's not great.

Can you afford to leave? Do you have any savings to cover you if you can't get work?

What's the likelihood of getting more temp work?

If you have savings or options then leave.

I've got an awful job....but it's p.t which is hard to come by so I stay.

Good luck.

Yes I've just done this. Currently serving one week's notice which seems long enough, could not bear the idea of three months.

Basically you have two weeks before you need to serve your notice. Could you throw yourself into looking for a new job for the next couple of weeks?

Thanks Kemer2018. No savings but a reasonable chance of getting temp. work.

Sorry to hear that you are also in an awful job & hope that something new and pt does become available for you.

Had a friend round for coffee being treated badly (by other moms) & was the one telling her to have faith that there are better people out there to work with, so now this new one hasn't worked out I should speak to some agencies & see about some realistic options.

Thanks CitrusFruit9. Glad to hear that you have just done this too & have updated CV today ready for some agency job hunting.

Yes, 3 months notice definitely sounds unbearable. Hope you get through your week's notice okay & best wishes in your new venture.
