Is there any point in me writing this letter?

Two and a half years ago I had a job interview with a local charity. I didn´t get the job, but they liked me and a few weeks later phoned me to offer me a different role that they hadn´t yet advertised. I turned the job down because in the intervening weeks I had decided to take up an opportunity abroad.

I have recently returned to the Uk and am living in the same place. It´s a small rural place and good jobs are few and far between. I would certainly apply if I saw something come up at this charity.

Is it worth me writing a letter to their HR to say that I am back in the UK and to ask them to keep my CV on file for future roles? Or will it just look a bit silly?

You have nothing to lose. Do it

Ok. I was really not sure whether HR people would regard it as silly. Thanks.
