Termination of employment

Looking for clarification if possible just to check i have read this right. Can't put contract up in case it is outing so will explain as much as i can.

Employer on probation, clause re probationary period states 2 weeks written notice OR immediate termination with 2 weeks money in lieu. Probation is 3 months.

Further down a clause states termination can occur with immediate effect if an employee does x, y or z - think shaming the company, illegal activity etc. Here it says if employed under 1 month termination is only one week's money.

Am I right in thinking that unless the reason for termination meets the specified conditions in the later clause, then the terms under the probationary period clause stand?

Hope that makes sense...trying to work out if owed one week's notice period or two based on what the letter of termination states - which doesn't meet any of the reasons stated under the latter termination clause

I’d need to see the section of the contract to be certain..”Here it says if employed under 1 month termination is only one week's money.”

Feel free to message me. I used to be a regional union officer and would look at this sort of thing all of the time. X

Yes. Sounds like during probation notice is two weeks, unless you've been employed less than a month and have done xyz, in which case it is one week.

Thanks. Flowery is correct. Just needed to see that they were separate points of your contract. As long as you are not losing your job as a result of an action mentioned in section 27 of your contract you should get 2 weeks notice (or pay if asked to leave immediately) x

Thank you SO much. I can now work on an email to the company giving them the option of paying what they owe or being taken to court. Your help has been so appreciated
