Do you enjoy it? What does your job involve, day to day? I'm considering applying for a similar role coming from a project management background and wondering if my skills would be easily transferable. All advice appreciated :)

Yes I'd say the skills are transferable, having myself been a PA and moved into project management.

I haven't been a PA to a Head Teacher but I have been to a University HOD. To be honest though he didn't need a huge amount of support and it was mainly usual PA duties as well as managing the expectations of academics. I imagine working for a Head Teacher would be somewhat similar - I would expect the post holder to be preparing lots of papers and needing to be very organised.
