Ds aged 17 has a part time job whilst at college for a well known company (he’s Lovin’ it😉) having been there less than a year he’s been given a new role with a new pay scale,he’s been doing the job in practice for a few weeks in anticipation for the training day whereby he will be trained in the specific role and will then get the extra pay (quite a big rise) so he’s changed his shifts been very amenable etc etc worked during Easter and scheduled revision periods in college around shifts.
He went for his training to find the training had been held the day before !! Yet has texts and 3 of his managers were under the impression it was today and have expressed their apologies one manager however knew it was the day before and told him this today.
Anyway having not received the training he will be expected to do the new job without the training which may well be not for some time obviously he’s cross about this and is saying he’s prepared to do the job he’s paid to do and is trained to do at the wage he receives but it is unfair to expect him to do the new job with no pay enhancement.
Any thoughts on this?
