Prob with nursery place ...Don't know what to do

Right, I am going back to college in September for one day a week.
I went to the college yesterday and at the mo the nursery is full on the day i would need.
The woman i spoke to said that Ds could go on the waiting list and that it was very likely that a place would become available in a few weeks as people do drop out.
In the mean time the college would pay for Ds to go to another nursery. That is fine, as there is a nursery near to here which has just been extended and has places avaiable BUT if I send him there and then a place becomes available at the college nursery I would have to move him as the college will only play for the other nursery if their own is full.

I hate the thought of getting Ds settled into nursery only to have to move him again a few weeks later.

I'm not sure what I can do though as I don't have anyone who could look after him until a nursery place becomes available.

Any ideas ???

Can your dp negotiate with his work for some time off on that day?

It's not that bad Nutcracker, he is only going once a week and depending how old is he may not even remeber the people in his previous nursery after a week, people normally drop out at the begining of the term so surely he won't have a lot of time to get very attached to the first nursery, I think he will be fine, think of the first nursery as if were a creche.

Hercules - Unfortunatly not as he has just started a new job.

Chandra - Yeah i did think that too, but I am worried enough about leaving him at all nevermind twice IYKWIM.

My friend has persuaded her nan to have her Ds as i'm betting we would get the places within weeks of starting.
My mom works shifts and could request tuesdays off, but she knows whats going on and hasn't offered so....
My brother said he would if he could but cannot garuntee having tuesdays off.

I dunno.....it's my own fault for leaving it soooo late.
