Hi am after some advice please, a couple of mnths ago I was suspended from work as an investigation was started,a colleague of mine was reported too nspcc lots about her children and the police investigated and said my internet ip adress came up(I knew nothing of the allegations),so a summons was issued for court etc and as it got near by it was dropped because the police offered no evidence as there wasn't any so im cleared of all charges ,however my work wont reinstate me or offer me the reasons why just said they have too investigate harrasment of a colleague so where do I stand because there is no case too answer innocent(but am now becoming a victim as this is affecting my mental health)

Thank you cave lady,on the dates these allegations were traced back too my ip address(and it was my home acc)I was
In fact on nights, can prove that.Had I sent it from my phone using internet it surely would of traced back to the work ip adress?,where I work(nhs on a ward)lots of sites are "blocked"so we cannot acess them anyway.

How bizarre. I'm not au fait with when a particular IP address would and wouldn't show up but it's work researching that.

Is there anyone else who had access to your internet? If you were at work, and the reports were made from home, who else could have done it?

One other colleague had argument with this person (and they have been to my house)and they could of sat outside my house using internet connectied to my wifi because the police haven't said its my laptop just ip address, my laptop wasn't checked by anyone,I cleared my name with police shouldn't have to go through this again

That would be quite some lengths to go to to frame you and report your colleague. Not unheard of, but quite some lengths!

Did this other person have your WiFi password?

Did the police actually clear you or did the CPS drop the case for lack of evidence? There is a distinct difference.

If the police actually cleared you I.e made their enquiries and eliminated you (which sounds like they didn't as charges were brought) it would seem entirely inappropriate for your employer to entertain a grievance based on the same facts.

Do you know for a fact that the grievance is about this matter? Could it be anything else?

Yes the grivance is def about this I received a letter, the cps dropped the case due too lack of evidence but sent a letter stating if more evidence is found case maybe restarted ,however on the prosecution paperwork the only evidence was that ip address and it stated she was reported by telephone as well,I think the police didn't do their job correctly because they didn't check my phone records or ask for laptop to check the history(and the solicitor said they wont now as its 12mnths later andi could of got rid of them),not suggesting the other person framed me but they could of been annoyed and wanted to report but not have ANYONE know it was them, they have been in my house and may of got my wifi password easily when I went to toilet or anything u only need it once then it connects automatically...

Are you still on suspension serious and have your employers got in touch to tell you what's happening, what the next steps are etc?

It's been several weeks now so hopefully you know what's going to happen next as far as your job is concerned?

seriousone · 20/01/2018 16:39

No im due too return on mon, working elsewhere for a bit as my colleague raised an harassment grivance (isnt any evidence) so im still under suspicion as im not to contact anyone from work and will be losing money as not getting enhanced pay for wknd/night so returning but still under suspicion

Doesn't sound ideal, with a cloud hanging over you, but the best you can do is to retrieve the situation by getting on with your job now that they have reinstated you. It could be worse, at least you have some income.
