Bit of a strange one... Tupe in second job...

Hi All.

So this is a bit strange and I don’t know where to start trying to find out information...

I’m 26 weeks pregnant, and have two jobs... 1 NHS and one that is for a private healthcare provider. I have qualified for Maternity pat from both...

Second job - have now sent out communications to say that they haven’t got the contract from April 2018 - and we will be tuped across to the new provider....

Which happens to be the same NHS trust as job 1...

I’ll already be on Mat leave once this TUPE takes place - but surely the NHS one can’t pay me two lots of maternity pay?

Massively confused and don’t know where to start with it! Searching the Internet seems a bit fruitless right now!!

Thanks if anyone has any ideas

I think you will be eligible for mat pay based on the total hours done for the one employer. So if you do three days for the NHS currently and two for the contractor, for example, but you will now be doing 5 days for NHS, the amount you're entitled to will increase from a pro rata 3 day to 5 day. I'm not sure I explained that well but i am fairly sure you won't be entitled to two lots of maternity pay from the same employer.
