As a bank worker am I entitled to SSP?

Expert advice appreciated. Signed off for two weeks and am getting very mixed messages. On a zero hours contract and being told I am a worker not an employee so not entitled, when I look on the gov.uk website I get a different answer, that I am entitled.

If you earn above the lower earnings limit (£113 per week) from your employer you are entitled to SSP. Your employer is wrong.

I do earn more than that, many thanks for replying.
