Should I ask for a managed move....

I am a civil servant, Higher Officer Grade. I love my job and I am very good at it. A new manager joined our team 6 months ago and has done everything possible to undermine me. I complained to senior management and my union but do not have enough evidence to bring a successful grievance and senior management are reluctant to step in other than give me another line manager and arrange mediation which hasn’t happened yet.

I rang in sick today because of stress and anxiety about an incident that happened yesterday. I am considering asking for a move to another team -there is a bit of stigma in doing so in my dept.

Has anyone done this and do they regret it?

I bet they are - still, nothing like senior staff pretending to be shocked that their poorly run organisation has a bullying problem.

None of the seniors in my team have mentioned me going. Still. No replacement for the two vacant posts in this team. Grin You would think two people doing the same job quitting in x number of months of each other would be a red flag right!? These people have no self-awareness.

Maybe they are annoyed I never mentioned I was applying for internal jobs. But they’ve never shown any interest in me or my ambitions. I don’t like any of them.

My old boss mentioned that he had a post going and would I like to come back. He thinks it’s hilarious how awful the Civil Service is! If DP gets a London posting in the future I probably would.

And the public thinks the world of banking is bad! Hahahaha.

Nevermind, they can always overload the people still in post...if you're below HEO, you're fair game for any rubbish people can't be arsed with.
Bet you can't wait to get out, hope you're going to a less grim NH!
