V Scary!! Completing and getting the keys to the shop tomorrow!!

It seems to have taken ages but now it's here I'm sooooo nervous! It will be great to get it up and running but we went to take photos today as part of the contract and it needs so much work to get it looking half decent and choosing the colour scheme is so much harder than slapping on a coat of paint at home.

I am excited but also scared that it will all go wrong!

Thanks zephr, once it's done I'll post before and after pics - I can't post the befores on there own as you will get me sectioned for paying rent for the place.

Did you get all your stock sorted and ordered? I think the last thread I saw you were looking for places to buy from?

How much more needs to be done & do you have an opening date

I have a fair bit but it's really tricky to figure if it's enough or too much, I guess too much is better. I have no idea how business will be though - it could all fly out or be sat there for months. Bit of a gamble really - god what have I done???

KM - It's more physical work now, I think after the refurbishment it should be fairly easy just day to day running of the shop. I'm hoping we will be open in two weeks but whether it will happen I don't know. I have lots of important stuff to do as well as the decorating, including getting leaflets printed, a sign done, music license (for the radio)..........

What are your plans time wise with the nursery, do you have a date that you want it up and running by?

Well you have so much more red tape to get through than I have, I really don't envy you, it seems ridiculous that they make you jump through hoops when you are trying to provide a valuable service! Do you have a blog? I'd love to keep up with the progress, I only get snippets on here when I catch a thread.
