Flat feet scuppering plans to return to pharmacy work

Anyone had an operation for flat feet? I've got really flat pronated feet. I returned to work 3 days a week in pharmacy after having my son, but the hours were so long. 9-6pm only 3 days a week but it was still enough to give my pins and needles and be awake at night with pain and not able to do anything much the rest of the week! After much agonising I decided to leave and have a go again at massage and reflexology which I qualified in years a go to fall back on. Only trouble is so many alternative therapists out there im not having much luck getting clients. So thinking of having the operation to put flat feet right so that I can return to pharmacy work. BTW my feet much worse after pregnancy. Hormones soften the ligaments and leave them prone to damage.

I'd suggest reading Katy Bowman's book on the biomechanics of feet - Simple Steps to Foot Pain Relief.
