Hello. Has anyone heard of Raring2Go? If you have then what do you think of the franchise opportunity??

Also just read some postings by Bunsen. I agree this is nothing you couldnt do on your own at a fraction of the cost.

not exactly true. about my area is run by some one else. I think you mean the best of (thebestof.co.uk)

quite right - i meant the best of. still would advise steering clear though as I really think you can do this yourself.

Well I've decided to give it a miss after peoples advice and reading alot about the company. However, you've inspired me to go it alone so I'm looking in to doing a community magazine at the moment - woohooooo!!! It seems possible and like everyones said it seems like it can be done for a lot less than what they're asking for the franchise. I'm still working out costs to see if it's viable but I'm really excited about it as it seems I may yet be able to work from home and see lo more than I would if I went back full time. It's going to be hard work by the looks of it but it will certainly be worth it if it all works out!

I wanted to say thanks for the inspiration although it may not be the last you've heard from me yet as I'm sure I'll be back to ask for yet more advice!

BTW has anyone else started up their own mag or know of anyone who has? I really could do with some advice from someone who's done it!

I don't know if anyone is still reading this thread but I thought I would share my experience of raring2go with you. I bought a franchise last year after being given only a few days to think about it. The sell is quite high pressure and I was blinded by the figures quoted. It is a full time job and I am not aware of any franchisees who have earned any real money yet, so the figures quoted are not at all realistic. The magazine is great and the feedback is excellent but it is not a way to make money!
