Job interview tommorrow and dd giving me sleepless nights

I must be mad. I have a job interview tommorrow for a full time well paid (for outside London anyway) position not too far from home. I also have a 2.5 ds and a 1.5 dd. Dd is currently teething (well I think that's what it is anyway). She has been up since 4am clinging to me, has had disturbed sleep for over a week now. I am half way through preparing for an extremely complicated written assessment as part of the interview - it's sending my brain into orbit. I will also have to have a panel interview. I know this job will be hard work and I reckon fairly inflexible as it's for a specific project and is only fixed term for a year...god only knows how we will sort out childcare. Someone please tell me it is worth going to the interview, rather than me just ringing and telling them to shove their interview up their a-holes...

That sounds very familiar! It is definitely worth going - at the very least you may discover why it would/wouldn't suit you. Yoiu might love the sound of it or completekly hate it in which case that will help you decide what to do! I think you have to be (relatively!) excited aboiut a particular fulltime full-on job otherwise it's not worth doing.
I had a job interview at 8.30 this mnorning (also permanent fairly well-paid) and have been up since 5 am with junior.

I think I will go just for the interview experience apart from anything else. It looks pretty tough (the job) and I am not sure they would consider me suitable anyway, but I guess it's worth a bash.

Interview went well bringmea. Maybe too well! It's not the fulltime thing that bothers me so much as the guy saying "this isn't 9 to 5". I think he (sexist comment coming up ) as a thirty somthing single, childess male doesn't realise that an awful lot can be axchieved by people within normal weorking hours and even on a 4 day week!
So think I may keep freelancing for the time being (although the work i get is VERY dull!).
Re childcare, i am signing up my baby for nursery in April and will start her on 3 days (8am to 6pm) even if I'm still freelancing. Will use live-out aupair-type person for 6 year old after shcool I think.
It will be a stretch financially but worth it for us. DH is self employed musician with unpredicabale hours.
I love thought of being whizzy high-earning mum but feel slightly sick about it at same time!

I get the feeling that with this job they are going to expect more than 9 to 5 which just isn't posssible for me with 2 children to pick up drop off at nursery. DP works the other side of London so wouldn't get back in time to collect. He is going to look at reducing his working week if I do get offered the job though - so hopefully we won't need to do the nursery thing for the full week. Mind you, the task they have given me is a nightmare so I am not sure I will get anywhere. It seems like they want me to learn the job inside out for the interview !

that's an idea anniemac. Lets hope the job is fantastic and they offer me the salary I want.
