I'm active on twitter etc (always post work related news) and follow several colleagues of different levels in the organisation. Anyway, a senior manager tweeted a photo of an event, several people inc VIPs in a posed photo. I replied saying "looks like a good day". He replied saying something like "yes the event was about xyz" and I replied to that saying "yes I know, glad it went well"

Anyway I got a DM from him saying "I know you know. I was just letting others know".

Dammit. I am now panicking that he sees me as cheeky and that I unintentionally embarrassed him to those VIPs etc.

What do I do?

I wouldn't worry about it. You can delete your tweet, you know, if you prefer.

It's not like you said, "Well, duhhh!", is it?
