Step up to social work

Anyone looking to apply? Any social workers who could offer opinions on the scheme?

I have been offered a place on the 2018 cohort. Really interested in the experience of previous students on the course as I feel a bit apprehensive about juggling everything. I work with Social Workers currently and recently heard some of the "resentment" previously indicated on this thread which I found really disappointing so interested in any advice etc and to hear about anyone else who will be studying with me.

I haven't done this but have just changed jobs after being a social worker for 15 years and I felt unprepared for the job once I left uni. I personally think that the theory side has not kept up with the reality of the job and whatever course you do, there is a lot of on the job learning. Wishing you lots of luck
