has anyone used CV writing services? Are they a con?

Just that really. Have a CV but a bit despondent about it being rubbish. Want help with formatting and presentation as well as making it generally more professional.

Nearly signed up for an online CV writing service but was put off by the fact they ask for payment before you even upload your own rubbish CV for then to improve... It's not that cheap...

Anyone used one or are they a con?

I do some CV re-writing for some of my clients. For a fabulous CV specialist, I would suggest you check out Mildred Talabi. I met her at a MumsNet event and have since interviewed her. She's good at what she does.
