What are your thoughts on non-alcoholic prosecco?

Hello!

Im looking into starting a business of importing and distributing non alcoholic prosecco in the UK and was wondering what the consensus of opinion was?

Pregnant ladies does that sound appealing to you?

People who do not drink (teetotal- religious beliefs, designated drivers etc) how about you, does it sound like something you would try or would you rather stick to your usual soft drinks?

Thank you very much for your opinions!

I would be keen but I'm also a bit careful about sugar intake- sometimes the fizzy grape stuff is very high sugar content.

As an aside....I would LOVE juniper cordial to go in my tonic water with lime!

Is it low cal? I'm dieting and miss wine.

I'm pregnant and if it tasted good and was truly alcohol free I would have loved this for summer.

MrsNuckyThompson · 03/08/2016 15:57

Sounds disgusting (I hate all Prosecco).

BillSykesDog · 03/08/2016 15:57

Oh yes, and must be very dry - not just sugary pop.

I just bought a couple of bottles of sparkling prosecco alcohol free, was just like sparkling grape juice even though the independent wine store said they'd done shed loads of research and sampling. It was very average but will not buy again at £12 a bottle!

It wouldn't interest me, even when pg I still had a glass of real prosecco on special occasions, and the occasional proper wine.

I would if the taste was there
Looked at alcohol free wine today and it's all sweet .....vom

Hi all,

Just a quick heads up. We're popping this thread over to startups as we think it's better suited there.

Thanks! Flowers

Not for me.

If i go to the pub ill drink lemonade or water. I CBA with non alcoholic wine/lager etc

Scribblegirl · 03/08/2016 16:43

I love booze and I have to be really careful not to overdo it (no major problems, just love the stuff).

If there was a genuine alcohol free wine that tasted OF WINE then I'd purchase it like a shot.

I'm not usually a prosecco drinker but in the absence of a decent non-alcoholic wine I'd definitely consider it.

maggiethemagpie · 08/08/2016 20:39

Doesn't appeal, the whole point of drinking prosecco for me is to have an alcoholic drink, non alcoholic wouldn't be the same.

Cocospring · 28/09/2016 23:48

Honestly, I also sell non alcoholic wines and champs. Its a very niche market. Go for it! There are people out there like me so want prosecco without the alcoholic effect. Let me know once you hve it x
