i would really like some advice as my work mate who is my best friend as well was fired yesterday and i would like to know if she can do anything about it.

basically she started there about a year and a half ago and i started a couple of months later. we get on fantastic but always make sure all the work is done too.

last year she made a mistake with one of her jobs that she does (put in the wrong code on the computer) but it all got sorted, then one morning she came in to find a letter on her desk saying they wanted her in for a meeting. they told her mistakes werent allowed and that it could cost the company money next time.

things got back to normal then when we went back after christmas she got called in as they wanted to make her more of an office manager as someone is coming out of our department. i was then off for 2 weeks in hospital and i went back thurs and things seemed strained but ok

then yest she got told she was due a review at 3 o clock. got called in and basically they said she wasnt up to the job and sacked her.

if the 2 bosses are usually out it is me and her in the office and things can be quite strained then but she was on her own so how could she prove herself in that situation. doing her job, my job and managers job

i feel terrible for her and i got called in after yest and they told me they would like me to stay but understand if i go

sorry this is so long but i think my friend has been treated appallingly and i want to know if there is anything she can do

thank you

im sure that with legal advice she could probably fight it but would it really be worth it?

Would she really want to work for that company after the way they have treated her.

oops sorry i forgot to add that. i know for a fact she would never work there again but i wondered if she could sue or something.

i think thats more of what i meant. i probably shouldnt have put appeal
