hi
I know I'm entitled to 5 free sessions a week when my son turns 3 years old.. but does anyone know if you have to use one session per day, or if I can combine them into fewer days? He's only at nursery 2 days per week.
Any tips v handy thanks!

you can combine them so he does 2 full days and one half day if you wish. If you only use a portion of sessions (e.g. 4/5 if you want him to do just 2 full days you only get the allowance pro-rata. Money goes direct to the nursery (which must be registered with LEA early years scheme to qualify for vouchers). How soon after the child's 3rd b'day you actually get the vouchers still seems to vary. In our LEA you get them for the school term following their 3rd b'day onwards, but in my mum's LEA you only get them from the term in which child turns 4.
